Punjab Govt Salutes Sacrifice: ₹3.69 Cr Aid Given to 18 Martyrs' Families

National News: The Punjab government has taken a major and humane step for the families of soldiers who have been disabled in the brave soldiers of Punjab who sacrificed their lives for the country and the military operations. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the state government has distributed grace assistance of ₹36,907,500 to the families of 18 martyred and injured soldiers. This assistance has been given to families living in 9 districts of the state who lost their loved ones for the country or who got a lifetime injury.

State Defense Services Welfare Minister Shri Mohinder Bhagat informed that this grace amount has been given to the families of the martyrs and the soldiers injured in war or anti-terrorism operations. They said,
"The land of Punjab has always been the mother of heroes. Our soldiers have sacrificed their lives for the integrity and security of the country. In such a situation, supporting their families is not only the responsibility of the government but part of our rites and traditions."

Shri Bhagat said that this grace amount is not only financial aid but a bowed tribute to the sacrifice of those heroes who became immortal in defense of Mother India.

Who got help where government representatives reached

This assistance has been given to the families of the soldiers who were martyred while protecting various campaigns, such as conflict, anti-terrorist action, military accidents, and borders. The districts where these families live include
Amritsar, Pathankot, Ferozepur, Moga, Gurdaspur, Sangrur, Hoshiarpur, Ludhiana, and Bathinda.

The government ensured that the assistance amount reached their families under a transparent process and in a timely manner. Officials of the district administration and military welfare departments went to the victim families and expressed condolences by handing them assistance.

We are with the soldiers on every front 

Minister Mohinder Bhagat reiterated on the occasion that the Punjab government is fully committed to the welfare of soldiers and their families. The government is working on all aspects like their health, education, rehabilitation, and employment.

They said, "The Punjab government stands with every family that has lost a member of his house to protect the motherland. This assistance is only one beginning; the government will bring more schemes in the future to strengthen soldiers and their families."

The families who received this assistance thanked the Punjab government. Many families said that this amount is a great relief for them emotionally and financially. He said that the state government not only gave help but also understood his feelings with respect.
